The Roadrunner Connection offers many different volunteer opportunities throughout the school year. Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back and support the school community, while spending quality time with your child. Whether you are looking to become involved in the board or just want to help out for a few hours, there is a spot for you!

Opportunities

    Join the Board

    By joining the Roadrunner Connection Team, you actively participate in decisions surrounding school events, fundraising, and how funds are allocated. The time commitments vary based on position.

    Become a Co-Chair

    Help lead a team to plan a school event, such as Fall Festival, Membership Drives, Book Fair, Dining for Dollars, or Holiday Store.

    Volunteer for an Event

    We always need volunteers to help with events or to assist with ice cream sales on Wednesdays. If you can only offer a few hours a month or volunteer once a year, this is for you!

    Offer your Expertise

    Not able to volunteer during the school day? Consider offering your expertise! We are always looking for help with social media, website, graphic design, newsletter, creative fundraising opportunuties, etc.!

EVENT & COMMITTEE CHAIR POSITIONS

🎭 Signature Events & Traditions

  • Fall Festival Lead: Be the architect of our biggest party of the year! From carnival games to tasty treats, you’ll help create the autumn memories our students talk about all year long.

  • School Dance Coordinator: Set the stage for a night of music and fun. You’ll pick the theme, coordinate the décor, and give our kids a chance to dress up and dance the night away.

  • Family Movie Night: Transform the school grounds into a local cinema! You’ll select the flick, coordinate the big screen, and help families cozy up for a night under the stars.

  • Donuts with a Dear One: Help us host one of our most heartwarming mornings. You’ll coordinate the treats and the volunteers to celebrate the special bond between students and their "Dear Ones."

  • Holiday Store: Create a "Winter Wonderland" where students can experience the joy of giving. You'll help curate a shop of treasures for kids to pick out for their families.

👟 Spirit & Student Life

  • Jog-a-thon Team: Help us turn laps into legacy! You’ll coordinate the "hype" (shirts and prizes) and help manage the sponsorships that fund our school’s biggest goals.

  • Spirit Wear: Got an eye for style? Help our families wear their Rolling Hills pride on their sleeves by assisting with the design and sale of our official school gear.

  • Ice Cream Wednesday Lead: Become the most popular person on campus! You’ll keep the freezer stocked and lead the team that brings a sweet mid-week treat to our students.

  • Read Across America: Ignite a lifelong love of stories. You’ll partner with school staff to design a week-long celebration of literacy, imagination, and the pure joy of reading.

❤️ Community & Leadership

  • Pathways of Hope Liaison: Be the heart of our community outreach. You’ll lead our holiday food and toy drives, connecting Rolling Hills families with opportunities to give back to those in need.

  • Red Ribbon Week: Help our students pledge to a healthy future. You’ll decorate the halls and organize activities that celebrate making positive, healthy life choices.

  • Lost & Found Hero: A low-stress role with a high impact! Bring a little relief to parents and kids by reuniting lost jackets and lunchboxes with their rightful owners.

🎨 Art & Enrichment

  • Reflections Art Chair: Spark creativity! You’ll facilitate our school’s participation in the National PTA art contest, giving our young artists, photographers, and writers a platform to shine.

  • Book Fair Coordinator: Turn the library into a bookstore! You’ll work with vendors to bring the latest titles to campus and help students (and teachers!) build their dream home libraries.


Volunteering is not just for mom!

Are you a dad or father-figure looking to get more involved? We encourage you to reach out to the Roadrunner Connection team to learn more about volunteer opportunities that occur throughout the year. This could include acting as “grill master” at the annual Pancake Breakfast, helping with the set-up and take-down of school events, assisting with stage plays, and so much more!
